Welcome to Donuts on the Run and our race to the best donut! We are a couple of donut enthusiasts who have kept a running list of the best donuts in the USA. We are sharing our experiences on this site, and most importantly where to get the best donuts.

What makes a great donut? Flavor, texture, and appearance. Raised or cake, filled or not? All great options in our books. Price point is also an important aspect for the budget conscious (including us).

We recently moved to Seattle, WA and have already begun to the race to find the best donut in the Seattle-area! Any recommendations are welcome! We begun our donut race in Chicago, Portland, New York City, the Triangle-area in North Carolina, and from various trips across the US. We will sprinkle our memories and recommendations from these locations, and continue to conduct global donut research.
